The Texas Legends tried to snap an 8 game losing skid last night facing the Idaho Stampede. But the Stampede lived up to its name and dropped the Legends 104-88 led by Coby Karl and his 25 points and 8 assists on only 8FGs. He gave his thoughts about the win from last night.
"It was a big for us. Whenever you can go on the road you should try to get at least 1 of 2 or we split on a back-to-back." The Stampede also had double doubles from Josh Owens (14pts 10rebs) and Sean Evans (16pts 11rebs) as the improve to 7-17
The Legends never really could get the ball into the basket. As they shot only 41.0% FG and 26.7% from 3 point range. Who is playing with a pretty much new roster with the additions of Luther Head, Rashad McCants, and new addition Delonte West. Luther Head lead the Legends with 20 points. Rashad McCants chipped in with 19pts and gave his thoughts about the roster. " Its a fairly new team, especially for me. We just had to find a nitch and figure it out.
I had an opportunity to speak with Donnie Nelson after the game about Delonte West. He states "The D-League is all about 2nd chances and the Texas Legends are proud to help him spring board himself back into the NBA."
The Legends lose their 9th game in a row and record falls to 11-14. Their next opponents will be against the Santa Cruz Warriors on February 1st. Whos record is 15-9
