PG Mike Conley Jr
Whether its the late night duels on xbox live me and this cat have had on FIFA 13 (me getting owned) or the playoff run he has contributed to heavy for the recent Grizzlies success, this man deserves major props and pay raise. When the weekly barbershop argument comes up with top pg's in the NBA the names of CP3, Russell Westbrook, Rondo's and the usual "WELL WHEN HEALTHY" Derrick Rose gets mentioned we even get passed them and mention the Ty Lawson, Brandon Jennings, John Wall's, it seems people forget about mike. Mike has had a solid career and jumped his scoring avg up this year and continue his assists growth. All NBA fans wondered what will the grizzlies do to replace Rudy Gay's scoring? Well folks they found the cure, and he's here to stay, and yes Money Mike is top 10 in my book, and arguably pending this playoff run top 5!
PG JARRETT JACK
(GOLDEN ST. WARRIORS)
Well I wish i had a media vote when they give these awards out to certain players. I'm still bitter on the 6th man award winner this season. NOT SAYING J.R Smith didn't deserve it because Earl balled out towards the last month of the season with those 30 point games, but Jarrett is the unsung hero on the team with the likes of David Lee, sharpshooter Klay Thompson and yes Babyface himself Stephen "DELL" Curry. I guess we all seem to forget Curry missed alot of games this year and who was the guy that replaced him and gave his team the best chance to win? I'll wait.. But lets not forget this playoff run their making. We can all credit Steph, but lets not forget what Mr.JACK has brought to town!
C LARRY SANDERS
I know the host of the show Byron will love this, and as well i we all should too. We should all appreciate great defensive and rebounding fundamentals, as many of the forefathers of the past say is a lost art. Larry who arguably should have been named NBA's defensive player of the year according to many online bloggers, social media etc. He averaged 2.9 blocks this season which many of the casual NBA fans didn't care to recognize but the fan boys like myself are waiting on the NBA 2K13 to make that major update for Mr. Sanders. In a league where the big man is considered to be extinct and its now a guards league lets play kudos to the NBA's most underrated defensive player not naming Tony Allen.
C/PF J.J HICKSON
It seems like yesterday Lebron was co-signing for this cat, and we all were like man he "SHOLL" would be a great sixth man or PF on my team, than the Sac-town Kings experience came, and we all said really dude? Well as the statement "it was all good just a week ago" can be true in every way shape or form, in this case its good for 82 games. J.J proved not only he could score he proved that he was a great rebounder with posting a career high in season avg in that category, and will soon be someone's key piece to a championship run in the future.
F- CHANDLER PARSONS (HOUSTON ROCKETS)
Lets be real here folks, none of us knew this kid out of Florida would have a major impact on a Houston Rockets team dying to get a Superstar or two. No one is calling Mr.Parsons a superstar but major respect from several noteable NBA players like Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, all praise the kids ability to score and get to the rack. What i noticed the most is his scoring avg. He nearly doubled the average this year going for a previous 9.5 a game to a 15.6, yes i know it may not seem much seeing that we have jack'em joe's like JR smith and Melo putting up 30s nightly but being able to experience his game up-close and personal at the local Mavs game this year i saw a scrappy defender and a person who managed to take good shots and great poise in a late rally win. The one question about this kids future is can he be the sidekick to harden or can he improve? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!
